Bringing pets or using bicycles, strollers, inline skates, skateboards, or scooters on
the race route.
- Receiving unauthorized aid (e.g., food or drink) from non-official sources.

(2) Dispute and Appeal Procedures
The organizer has purchased public liability insurance for this event. The coverage items and
amounts are as follows (subject to the official insurance contract terms):
-
Race Disputes: Athletes are not permitted to question or challenge the referees during the
competition. Any notes or explanations with equivalent authority to the official athletics
regulations shall be interpreted solely by the referees and are not subject to appeal.
-
Result Disputes: If a participant has any concerns about their official race result, they
must submit a request for review to the official timing team. The decision of the chief
referee shall be final.
-
Appeal Procedure: Any appeal related to the race must be submitted within 30 minutes after
the announcement of the group results. A deposit of NT$3,000 must be submitted along with
the appeal, which will be acknowledged and signed by the competition team. All decisions
made by the Race Jury are final. If the appeal is deemed groundless, the deposit will be
forfeited and retained by the organizer as part of the event fund.

(3) Rules and Restrictions
-
To maintain event quality and protect participants’ rights, any changes to race categories
or names after registration deadline will result in disqualification from award
eligibility.
-
On race day, please assemble at the designated location before the official start. Chip
timing mats will be used for check-in instead of manual verification. Early starters will
be disqualified.
-
According to World Athletics Rule 165.24, the official race time begins at the start gun.
Ranking and results will be based on gun time. Runners must pass over the timing mats at
the start, checkpoints, and finish line. Missing any of these timing records will lead to
disqualification and no official results will be issued.
-
As the starting area is on an open road, runners must start on time. For safety reasons,
late starters may be prohibited from joining the race and will not receive a recorded
time.
-
The race route and aid stations are officially approved. To ensure quality and fairness,
runners without official race bibs are not allowed on the course or to use the aid
stations.
-
Participants with no chip timing record at checkpoints or without proper identification
will be disqualified without appeal.
-
Runners who withdraw mid-race or switch race groups during the event will be disqualified
without appeal.
-
If a participant's race bib is not properly displayed on the chest and cannot be
identified, the finish line referee may deny entry to the finish area.
-
Cut-off points and times are set for each race category as follows:
-
Half Marathon (21K): Checkpoint CP2 – Chengmei Flood Gate (approx. 9.5K): closes at
19:30
-
Fun Run (10K): Checkpoint CP1 – Guanshan Riverside Park (approx. 4.8K): closes at
19:00
-
Family Starlight Run (6K): Checkpoint CP6 – Yingfeng Riverside Park (approx. 3.0K):
closes at 19:00
-
Note: Cut-off locations and times may be adjusted based on the final route and on-site
conditions. The final announcement prior to race day shall prevail.
-
Participants who fail to reach the cut-off point or complete the course within the
designated time must board the sweep bus or follow the designated return vehicle. Refusal
to do so is at the participant’s own risk.

(4) Official Results & Certificates
-
To promote environmental sustainability, no printed certificates will be provided. All
finishers will receive an electronic finisher certificate. A download link will be sent
via SMS to the mobile number provided during registration. (Please ensure your number is
correct. For group registrations, we recommend team leaders fill in each member’s personal
mobile number to ensure receipt of the message on race day.) An online result query
service is also available:
https://irunner.biji.co/track
-
A professional chip timing system will be used to record results. Please refer to the
event website for instructions on how to use the timing chip. Official awards are based on
gun time, while chip time is for personal reference only.
-
For participants who are cut off mid-race or who miss any checkpoint sensor, the word
"Reference" will appear next to their name in the result listing and certificate.
|
(5) Timing Chip Usage Instructions
-
This event uses a professional sports timing chip system to record race results. Please
refer to the instructions provided (see image guide) and wear the chip correctly. The
organizer will not be held responsible for any timing errors due to improper chip
placement.
-
If the chip falls off due to incorrect attachment to your shoelaces (metallic materials
are prohibited), and results are not recorded, the participant will be solely responsible.
-
Exchanging chips, wearing another person’s chip, or wearing more than one chip is strictly
prohibited. Violators will be disqualified, and all results will be invalidated without
appeal.
- Awards are based on official gun time. Chip time is for personal reference only.
-
Participants who are cut off mid-race or miss checkpoint records will receive only a
completion time on their certificate, without a ranking.
-
After finishing the race, please verify your results before leaving the venue. If you
encounter any issues, visit the “Result Correction Station” tent for assistance.
-
Chip Placement vs. Detection Rate
-
We strongly recommend taking an extra minute to securely fasten your chip. If the chip
falls off, not only will you lose your NT$100 deposit, but you’ll also lose your official
result. Even if the chip stays on, a missed checkpoint reading could cost you 10 extra
minutes at the correction area. For top runners aiming for awards, a loose chip may cost
you a spot on the podium.

(6) Safety Reminders
-
The race course runs along the riverside cycling paths and is an open-access roadway. In
accordance with government regulations, only limited traffic control can be enforced.
Certain sections must remain open to public use. All participants are advised to remain
vigilant and ensure their own safety as well as that of other road users during the event.
-
If there is a traffic signal at an intersection, please wait accordingly. Do not shout at
or attempt to bypass staff or traffic control. If you cannot accept this rule, please
refrain from participating.
-
As this is a nighttime running event, please pay special attention to your personal
safety. Carry your National Health Insurance (NHI) card with you. Medical service stations
will be available on-site to provide emergency assistance if needed.
-
If you feel unwell during the race, do not push yourself. Seek assistance from nearby
event volunteers. Mobile first-aid patrols will be circulating along the course.
-
Please assess your own physical condition before participating. Get sufficient rest the
day before, and eat a proper meal at least two hours before the event. Do not run on an
empty stomach to avoid fatigue, hypoglycemia, or even sudden fainting during the race.
-
Race referees and medical staff reserve the right to stop any runner from continuing if
they determine the runner is physically unfit to proceed. Their decision is final and not
open to appeal.
-
Do not linger or obstruct the finish line area before or after finishing the race. This
could interfere with the safe arrival of other runners. If you wish to take photos, please
move to the side after crossing the finish line.
|
(7) Emergency Response Measures
-
The event will proceed as scheduled in case of rain. However, if a land or sea typhoon
warning is issued, or in the event of any force majeure such as a natural disaster, the
organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the race route for the safety
of all participants. Announcements will be made via the official event website and on-site
notice boards. Participants shall not raise objections.
-
If weather forecasts indicate a high probability of rain on race day, the organizer may
increase the number of tents at the event site as needed.
|
(8) Baggage Storage Guidelines
-
A baggage storage area will be available at the main event venue. The service will be open
from 15:30 to 21:30.
-
Participants must present their race bib when checking in their belongings. All items must
be properly packed in a bag—unpackaged items will not be accepted. To retrieve belongings,
return to the same area during service hours and present your race bib.
-
Staff will provide two matching stickers: one will be affixed to your race bib, and the
other to your baggage. These must match when reclaiming your belongings after the race.
-
Items such as electronic devices, valuables, fragile items, perishable goods, long
umbrellas (folding umbrellas are allowed), and hazardous materials will not be accepted.
Please keep all valuables with you—the organizer will not be responsible for any loss or
damage.
-
Due to high foot traffic on race day, please complete baggage check-in as early as
possible to avoid delays in assembly and race start.
